Texturing gives these polyester fibers unique properties which make them suitable for various uses - even creating synthetic fur carpets!

Polyester dty yarn comes in various sizes and denier numbers. Generally speaking, the greater its denier number indicates thicker yarn; this is due to increased elongation and tenacity. However, thinner yarn may also be purchased and used in production of more delicate or lightweight clothing items, such as shirts, dresses or skirts.

FDY, POY and ITY polyester yarns are three of the most frequently used types. Each one is created through its own process and has unique properties; FDY for instance is an extruded spun yarn which has been textured prior to extrusion - this makes it suitable for weaving fabrics due to its bulkiness, gas permeability, curl elasticity and good unwinding/dyeing uniformity; in addition to being suitable for rapier looms, water jet looms and circular looms.

FDY yarns are composed of polyethylene terephthalate (PTA) combined with mono ethylene glycol and extruded at high speed directly from chips into filament yarns using Barmag Wings FDY lines, offering bright, semi-dull and full dull lustre options, along with round, trilobal, and flat cross sections for your convenience.

Core effect yarn is a special-sized version of this yarn used to produce various woven fabrics such as sateens and womenswear fabrics without physical post weaving processes that produce peach skin effects. Core effect yarn can also be found in upholstery yarns and soft luggage yarns.

This highly effective, straightforward sizing system is specifically tailored for polyester yarns and fabrics. Utilizing latex size made from an acrylic copolymer derived from latex latex has excellent adhesion with polyester materials without needing strict drying conditions, easily removed by scouring with dilute alkaline solutions in water or by use of water jet looms; and remains unaffected by humidity up to 100%.
